Training and Academic activities

Training activities for various states

The community psychiatry team has been actively involved in the implementation of NMHP and DMHP activities in various states across the country. As a part of this, various level of training activities has been conducted for different cadres of health care workers from medical officers , deaddiction counsellors to ASHA workers in primary care psychiatry for the States of Punjab, Karnataka, Bihar ,Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand.

Training of Community Health Officers

Under the Ayushman Bharat programme, the Health and Wellness centers (HWC) are to be empowered to deliver care for various disorders including MNS disorders. The team along with other departments has developed a “Manual for CHO’s.” The team conduced National and State level Training of trainers (TOT) for the implementation of this.

Training of Medical officers for MNS disorders

Tele Sakalawara Rehabilitation Services

In view of the COVID restrictions causing disruption in the regular services, the team has started the tele rehabilitation services for the registered in-patients of Sakalawara with the aim of rehabilitation of the patients incorporating the resources available at their households.
